Great! We always need more good umpires!

Our philosophy in Arkansas ASA District 12 (NW Arkansas) is that your desire to become a good umpire is more important that your current umpiring capabilities. We will work with you and train you regardless of your current skills or past experience.

Here’s what you need to do.

1. Review the various links on the ASA Training page of this web site.
2. Review the ASA Fastpitch Basic Rules Clinic on this web site.
3. Register for a live Basic Rules and Basic Mechanics Clinic.
4. We will then contact you with more information.
5. Meanwhile, if you have any questions, contact District 12 UIC
6. If you desire to become a Certified Umpire and after you have attended a clinic and received your Rule Book, take the annual ASA Umpire Exam either on paper or on-line.
7. You will then be put in contact with the various leagues in Northwest Arkansas who will schedule you for games. We will do our best to schedule you with a more experienced umpire who will give you additional on-the-job training.
8.  If you are qualified, your name will also be given to Tournament UICs who may contact you to umpire in Tournaments.
